• Download and Installation Instructions for Mobipocket Reader for Microsoft Windows Desktops, Laptops, and Tablet PCs
• 1. Click here to go to the Mobipocket Reader download page.
     
     
  2. Locate the 'Mobipocket Reader for PC' option and click the 'Download' button.
     
     
  3. A 'File Download' box is displayed. Select option 'Save' or 'Save this program to disk'. Browse to (and make note of) a location to save the file, and click the 'OK' button to save the Mobipocket Reader install file (MobipocketReaderPC.exe) to your machine. Please be patient, as this may take a few minutes to download and save.
     
     
  4. If you are using IE 5.0 or higher, a dialog box may be displayed when the download is complete. Click the 'Open' button to begin the installation. Otherwise, locate the '.exe' file (MobipocketReaderPC.exe), and double-click it to begin installation.
     
     
  5. A 'Chose Setup Language' box is displayed. Choose the desired language from the list of languages presented then click 'OK'.
     
     
  6. The 'InstallShield Wizard' is displayed. Click through the wizard to install Mobipocket Reader on your Windows machine.
     
     
  7. When the installation is complete, go to your desktop and double-click the Mobipocket Reader PC icon to open the reader.
     
     
  8. You may delete the install file (MobipocketReaderPC.exe) once you have completed the installation process.

• 1. Click here to go to the Mobipocket Reader download page.
     
     
  2. Under the section for Mobipocket Reader for PDA, choose the platform and language appropriate to your PDA and click the 'Download' button.
     
     
  3. A 'File Download' box is displayed. Select option 'Save' or 'Save this program to disk'. Browse to (and make note of) a location to save the file, and click the 'OK' button to save the Mobipocket Reader install file (MobipocketReaderPro_Platform_Language.exe) to your machine. Please be patient, as this may take a few minutes to download and save.
     
     
  4. When the download is complete, locate the install file (MobipocketReaderPro_Platform_Language.exe) on your machine, and double-click it to begin installation.
     
     
  5. The 'InstallShield Wizard' is displayed. Click through the wizard to install Mobipocket Reader on your Windows machine.
     
     
  6. Once the installation is complete, you will see a notice that the files downloaded will be installed the next time you perform a hot sync.
     
     
  7. Perform a hot sync to your PDA and the program will be installed.
     
     
  8. When the installation is complete, click the Mobipocket Reader icon to open the reader.
     
     
  9. You may delete the install file from your computer (MobipocketReaderPro_Platform_Language.exe) once you have completed the installation process.
